Rose of Tralee Scarf

I was looking online for a nice scarf pattern, when I found this! I think it is beautiful! I want to make it but it takes 9 balls of yarn! I'm going to have to stock up on Michael's coupons for this one!

A woman was asked by a co-worker, "What is it like to be a Christian?"
The woman replied, "It is like being a pumpkin. God picks you from the patch, brings you in and washes all the dirt off of you. Then He cuts off the tops & scoops out all the yucky stuff. He removes the seeds of doubt, hate and greed. Then He carves you a new smiling face and puts His light inside of you to shine for all the world to see."

Some Christmas Inspiration

While I was in Lincoln I stopped by one of my favorite stores, Abe's. I saw these while I was there and thought they would be easy enough to make at home. These are ginormous peanut butter cups in a cup cake liner.
Again, but decorated with sprinkles! Easy, but cute! Who wouldn't want one of these for Christmas?
These little marchmallow snowmen dipped in chocolate were especially cute with their little hats on the celophane wrapping!
And finally, perhaps the easiest and cutest of all, these chocolate filled cookie cutters with sprinkles! Just pop the chocolate out and they have a cookie cutter! These are great and edible gift ideas that I think I will be making this Christmas!

Clam Chowder

We were given a bucket full of clams the other day by a man that goes to one of the churches that Randy pastors at. I have never had so much fish as I have this summer and I love it! I am, however, new to this whole fish thing. We had so many clams though that there was enough to eat for dinner and then some. So I got the bright idea to make a chowder...which I have never done before. Of course!
It took two days (1 to prepare the clams for cooking, one to shop for the ingredients and cook) and lots of phone calls to both my Mom and Randy's Mom, and then some searching on the internet. In the end neither of us suffered from food poisoning and the chowder was pretty good. We aren't experts though, some of our clams still had sand in them. Next time I make this chowder I think I will just buy the clams in a can!

My Mail is Green

Guess what I got in the mail today? My Clorox Green Works package! I can't wait to start cleaning! The good news is that you can share in my cleaning experience! I have 30 coupons for a free bottle of Clorox Green Works Laundry Detergent (30 loads). Just leave me a message and email me (seathurlow@hotmail.com) your address and I'll send you one! The coupons are valid in Canada only. I also have 30 free samples of the laundry detergent, but I'm a little hesitant to send those out in the mail in case they blow up or something.
All of my laundry is clean thanks to my wonderful husband, so I will have to wait to use the laundry detergent, but it smells wonderful! Like citrus, but not like the stuff you clean your floors with. I have already started to clean with the all-purpose cleaner and it smells and works great!
So, if you want to try it out just drop me a note and I'll send you a coupon for a FREE bottle of laundry detergent! Happy cleaning!

Green Works

Matchstick has a new campaign started to try the new Clorox Greenworks Laundry Detergent. When I found out about this campaign I signed up for it because I have been using their all purpose cleaner and it works great with no harsh chemicals and no fumes that make me want to gag while I'm cleaning the shower. Anyway, I have been selected to try out a few of their products and I am so excited! I'll fill you in on the details later, but for now I have a plane to catch. I'm off to Illinois for the week, (hence the lack of blogging). I'll be back on the 26th with lots more fun stuff to share!
